TORONTO, Ontario, September 1, 2004 - CDP Communications, a Toronto-based software vendor celebrating it's 20th year of operation, today announced version 2.07 of ADEPT Suite. ADEPT Suite is CDP's flagship print data stream conversion and extraction product that includes graphical user interface applications for setup and configuration, report viewing and mark-up, advanced font mapping, and data extraction to CSV or XML.
New parsing engines will now convert PDF and PostScript input into PDF, PCL, PostScript, Text, TIFF, HTML, and XML output, complementing the ADEPT Suite's existing capability to convert IBM AFP, Xerox Metacode/LCDS, and HP PCL print streams to PDF, PCL, PostScript, Text, TIFF, HTML, and XML output formats. Converted output can be used for critical e-business applications such as web-based customer statement presentment, data extraction, and indexing. In addition, TIFF input can be converted to AFP page segments output for IBM high-speed printing and PCL input can be converted to normalized PCL output for selective page reprinting.

Other product features in this version include the addition of Solaris, Linux, and AIX platform support for batch conversion, 8 and 32-bit CMYK and RGB color support for all output formats, support for custom DLLs that allows for easy extraction of indices from Metacode/LCDS print streams, regular expression and masking capability for easier entry and specification of extraction information, and support for customized file names for use with other systems. Additionally, this version provides a C and Java interface for the ADEPT Suite API, which enables easier integration of ADEPT Suite into our partners' applications.
